Best Art Districts to Live in Dubai

Art enthusiasts may not have Dubai at the top of their minds when thinking of cities with an art scene. However, Dubai has a couple of art districts that culture vultures would appreciate. So if you want to rent an apartment in Dubai near these spaces, consider these neighbourhoods.

Al Quoz

Al Quoz is the go-to art district in Dubai. It’s home to AlSerkal Avenue which has several galleries and hosts many artistic events and workshops. Some of the highlights at Alserkal are The JamJar cafe, where you can paint and attend art workshops, and Cinema Akil, where you can watch thought-provoking movies from various cultures.

The most popular residential areas in Al Quoz are Al Khail Heights and Al Khail Gate. These gated communities provide studios, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments for rent in Al Quoz with various amenities.

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC)

The last thing you’d expect from Dubai’s financial centre is that it’s an art district too. Yet it has plenty of art galleries such as Opera Gallery, Sconci Gallery, The Empty Quarter, Sotheby’s, and more. If you want to call this area home, explore the apartments for rent in DIFC, which range from studios to 3 bedroom units.

Al Jaddaf

Al Jaddaf is home to Jameel Arts Centre, an independent art institution that supports the artistic community and hosts frequent exhibits, workshops, and talks. It’s also home to an outdoor sculpture park with works by many artists.

Moreover, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library is located in Al Jaddaf. It’s a massive library that hosts cultural and intellectual events throughout the year.  If you want to rent an apartment in Al Jaddaf, you can choose from studios, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments. You’ll also find a large variety of apartments for sale in Al Jaddaf.

Bur Dubai

If you value authenticity and history, then Bur Dubai is the place for you. It’s home to Al Fahidi Historical District, which is the oldest residential area in Dubai, dating back to the 19th century. Aside from that, Bur Dubai is also the site of Zabeel Park, which has Dubai Garden Glow with its bright light shows, and the Dubai Frame which connects old and new Dubai. The cherry on top is that the apartments for rent in Bur Dubai are quite affordable.
