    All about the apartments for rent in Oud Metha

    Oud Metha is located in Bur Dubai and is one of the older areas of the emirate. Almost everyone knows of and has been to Oud Metha but not many know that it has another name: Al Nasr, which means ‘the victory’ in Arabic. It’s also the home of the Al Nasr Football Club which is fitting given their success and the name of the area.

    Oud Metha isn’t a particularly large area however it does have a metro stop on the Green line and there’s an endless array of eating places across the neighbourhood which cover all sorts of different cuisines. The buildings is absent of the skyscrapers that Dubai is famous for and apartment blocks tend to be low-rise in nature. Oud Metha is great for getting around on foot with everything just a short walk away from shops to cafes to offices and even Dubai’s famous Zabeel Park. The famous Lamcy Plaza is also located in Oud Metha though some may argue it sits on the border of Karama

    Apartments for rent in Oud Metha range from studio and 1 bedroom to 2 and 3 bedroom apartments which despite being in sometimes older buildings are very comfortable whilst being compact. They are by and large rented out unfurnished and for people new to renting a flat in Dubai or renting a flat in Bur Dubai, there’s lots of shopping options nearby to help you kit out your new pad.

    Why should you consider renting an apartment in Oud Metha?

    Despite some buildings being a bit dated, the area is ripe with spacious, affordable apartments that offer great value for money compared with areas in ‘new Dubai’ which tend to be at the top of people's lists. There’s a fair few schools nearby so families will enjoy living within walking distance and to keep kids happy, there’s the Al Nasr Leisureland which is one of the oldest attractions in Dubai for sports and kids activities.

    There’s the iconic Wafi Mall and the Rashid Hospital within close range and these are just some of the things that make renting an apartment in Oud Metha a great idea. Even if you work in new Dubai in places like JLT or Media City, you can enjoy living in Oud Metha by riding your bike to and from the metro stations and taking the metro for the bulk of the journey. Of course this may not be for everyone and if you live in Oud Metha you may not want to commute beyond half an hour.

    After finding the right apartment for rent in Oud Metha and you begin to move in, find the time to submit your EJARI registration at a typing centre. You’ll get an official EJARI certificate which is a government record of your tenancy. It’s an important document should you run into any issues with your landlord and have to file a rental dispute.
