1. What Rules Need to Be Followed Before Renting a Water Taxi in Dubai? 

There are several general rules that all locals and tourists must follow before renting a water taxi in Dubai, including: 

  • You must book the trip 24 hours in advance. 
  • The customer must be at the station 15 minutes before the departure.
  • Customers can be fined in case of misconduct. 
  • The trip’s route can be cancelled upon lousy weather. 
  • An adult or guardian should accompany children under 12 at all times. 
  • A valid Emirates ID needs to be presented beforehand. 
  • The RTA vessels cannot be used for anything other than the intended purpose. 
  • The captain cannot be instructed to change the pre-intended route. 
  • The passengers are liable for repair costs in case of damage caused to the vessel. 
  • Each parent can accompany no more than two children. 
  • Passengers cannot refund the booking fees. 
  • If the vessel’s route is changed, the fees are recalculated. 

2. What Happens If a Customer Loses Their Belongings While Travelling? 

The customer can report to the Al Ghubaiba main office within 24 hours. After that period, if the customer does not return to the office to retrieve their belongings, the items go to the police department. In the case of essential belongings, they are kept at the office until retrieved. 

3. Can Passengers Book a Marine Beforehand? 

Yes! All customers can head to the Book Marine Tickets page on RTA’s official website, a user-friendly platform, select their trip, find tickets, fill in their details, and pay the fees. The process is straightforward and can be completed in a few simple steps.
