Overview of Via Ferrata
Via Ferrata is a fusion of rock climbing and mountaineering. This Italian term means ‘iron path’ in English. This 470-metre climb gives you access to breathtaking views such as that of Hajar Mountain. The course runs over three mountain hikes with zip wires measuring 50, 60 and 300 metres.

Activities
Other than sightseeing, Via Ferrata presents thrilling mountain adventures where expert mountain climbers climb the vertical routes. It offers three types of activities:
1. Ledge Walk
The Ledge Walk presents a comparatively less challenging mountain climbing experience. It takes four hours to complete the course.
After a gentle climb to the first zip line which is 30-metres long, the path gets more and more difficult. It extends to a 60-metre zip line; you can then descend through the 300-metre zip line.

2. Middle Path
The middle path takes three and a half hours to cover. This technical route holds three vertical routes and a restricted horizontal climb. The climb rises 60 metres from the wadi bed to the first zip line and continues along the Ledge Walk till the terra firma.

3. Julphar Scare
Among the three tracks, Julphar Scare is the most difficult to cover. Although it takes one and a half hours, it will make your knees tremble with fear. The Julphar Scare combines ladders, climbing, scrambling, and hiking.
In this course, you have to climb vertically for 120 metres using the ladder rungs. These rungs are placed strategically across five different sections. After you cover these, your journey will end with the longest zip line that transports you back to the wadi.

Prices
The prices for climbing in Via Ferrata start from AED 325.
