What is a Sayer Card?
In Sharjah, public bus fares are paid via the Sayer card, a smart travel card. It works in the same way as other transport cards, making tap-and-go payments simple. Numerous stations and kiosks across the city provide the card for sale and recharging.
How Can Sayer Cards Be Topped Up on a Bus?
Ask the driver to top up your Sayer Card with a specific amount. The price is AED 45 or 90 for Discount Cards and AED 225 for a 30-day Subscription Card. Along with the updated card, you’ll get a receipt with your updated balance.

Purchase new SAYER Discount Cards on Sharjah Public Transport buses in two denominations:
- AED 50 for AED 45 credit.

Taxis in Sharjah
In Sharjah, it’s simple to hail a taxi from the side of the road or book in advance. Families, people with determination, women, and children can book special taxis.

Book a taxi easily via the RTA Sharjah App (iOS , Android), online portal, or by calling the provided number. Online bookings take only 5 minutes, while finalising procedures with the Authority takes about 10 minutes.
FAQS
Take Mowasalat buses and ask the driver for a new Sayer Card. Sayer Cards start at AED 5. You can register your Sayer Card by visiting the closest sale store. You can also do so by filling out the Sayer Card Registration Form on the website www.mowasalat.ae.
Cards aren’t compatible with Sharjah buses. It is possible to pay with a Nol Card for the reasonably priced Sharjah to Dubai bus route. However, Sharjah municipal buses do not take this card.
