What Is the Light Festival of Sharjah?
The Sharjah Light Festival features magnificent light displays, performances and projections over several of the city’s most well-known sites. The event was first launched in 2010 with the support of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
Thousands of residents and tourists go to the city each year for the event, excited to see the enchanting change occur. This year, the thrilling celebration was held from 7th to 18th February 2024.
Moreover, the energy and excitement of the event starts from the city centre and extends to the east coast towns of Khorfakkan, Dibba and Kalba. This helps in indulging the entire community on one platform.
The Light Shows in Sharjah
Sharjah becomes a brilliant fusion of history and innovation. Carefully selected performances and music transport visitors through a journey of moving scenes and dazzling displays. Be sure to pause during Maghrib and Isha prayers, as shows will be momentarily stopped.
