Overview of Sharjah Ladies Club
Sharjah Ladies Club was founded in 1982 by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi. It is located on the Corniche Street alongside the Sharjah Corniche Beach.
The club started as a wellness centre and became a top destination for women in the UAE. It offers modern sports facilities that meet international standards. Women can enjoy an Olympic-size indoor pool, a private beach, beachfront tennis courts, an ice rink and one of the best gyms in Sharjah.
The sports complex has 16,600 members yearly, of whom around 2,000 use the pools, 14,000 visit the ice rink and 600 play tennis. SLC also plans to train women for local and international sports events, providing a safe, exclusive space for women to stay active and healthy.

SLC hosts yearly swimming competitions for schools and clubs. Its indoor pool is 50×25 metres, with a depth of 1.75 to 3 metres. It has a temperature control system and automatic cleaning to keep the water clean. A trained rescue team is always on duty for safety.
