Travelling from Ras Al Khaimah to Oman is now possible with the RAK international bus service. This initiative is to strengthen ties and promote inter-country travel. Here are the details:
- Route: RAK to Musandam | Musandam to RAK
- Timing: 08:00 am and 06:00 pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
- Fare: AED 50
- Frequency: Two buses operate throughout the day from RAK to Oman and way back
RAK Ride
The last category is for all those looking for fast yet reliable travel. Here comes RAK Ride, an Express Bus Service that offers direct routes and reduced travel time. Connecting remote areas to the city centre, here are the details of Express Ride:
- Route: Buses start from the Al Nakheel area and run from RAK Airport and the Aden area to reach the Al Ghail area.
- Timing: 06:00 am to 10:00 pm
- Frequency: Every
- Fare: Ranging from AED 10 to AED 20
Payment Method
RAKTA has introduced an E-Saqr Card to pay for public bus fares. Initially, it was only for intercity buses, but now intercity fares can be paid using bus cards. There are three types of Saqr cards:

2. RAK Taxi Service
Another mode of public transport providing ultimate convenience is the RAK Taxi service. Currently, there are around 600 air-conditioned taxis. The best part is the 27/7 service allowing passengers to travel intracity and intercity any time of the day.
