Are you planning to move out of your property in the Northern Emirates or move to a new residence? Disconnecting your electricity and water services and applying for a clearance certificate from EWE is important.
Etihad Water and Electricity (EWE) is the official authority responsible for providing these services in the Northern Emirates. With online and offline modes, requesting a clearance certificate is convenient. Here is how to apply for a clearance certificate from EWE in simple steps.
Understanding Clearance Certificate
Etihad Water and Electricity (EWE) is an electricity and water supply entity. Previously known as the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA), it is the main authority in the Northern Emirates. These include Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah.
EWE handles everything from installing new connections to service disconnection. When leaving the premises permanently, applying for a service disconnection is mandatory.
EWE issues a clearance certificate once the customer settles the last invoice amount. It is proof that the customer has no outstanding dues and bill payments.
