You’ll be living the lifestyle people imagine when they think of moving to Dubai
The Springs is an eclectic community, with peaceful streets lined with villas and townhouses, nestled next to beautiful parks and lakes. Here’s our unfiltered take on the ‘hood – unexpected things to expect from the area.
1. A two-bed Springs villa costs the same as one in Jumeirah Village Circle: Don’t take our word for it. Compare prices here.
2. It’s cheaper than you think: The Springs has a pricey reputation and you may pay 13,000 dirhams more in rent per year for a similar 2 bedroom villa in Jumeirah Village Triangle, but we still think it’s worth it. For one, you’ll be ideally placed, close to Emirates, Al Khail and Sheikh Zayed Roads and especially Dubai Marina, the beach and JBR, which are fantastic when you have kids. When the weather’s nice, you can have get togethers, barbecues and pool parties in the back garden. A stroll will take you to the gorgeous lakes and parks that surround the area and if your idea of Dubai living involves walking down leafy streets lined with townhouses, you’ll be in your element here. Plus, your kids will always have someone to play with.
3. Local gems abound: People have this perception that The Springs is far away, but there are many active community groups and places for people to get together and share interests. The Town Centre has everything you need from supermarkets, cafés and nail bars to a yoga studio. The Lakes Club has a pool, gym, convenience store, gourmet restaurants, an aerobic studio, a daycare centre as well as volleyball, squash and tennis courts while Hayya! Club across the road offers many fitness and leisure activities.
4. You can have a social life here: If you’re dying to take advantage of Dubai’s culinary scene or spot a bar on every corner, you may want to head to Dubai Marina for a nightlife fix. But there are some really chic places tucked away in The Springs. Should you crave a shisha or a nice cuppa joe, head to Shakespeare & Co at the Springs Town Centre. You also have a London eatery at your doorstep: Reform Social & Grill in The Lakes serves first class British food and drinks from 8am until late every day of the week and offers an authentic gastropub lunch and dinner experience. Then there’s Copper Chimney which serves amazing kebabs, Al Arrab Restaurant for sumptuous Arabic food and the Nineteen restaurant at The Address Montgomerie for great steak by the golf course. With work and fun equally close, you’ll be living the lifestyle people imagine when they think of moving to Dubai.
